Student council work

In our student council, students in all semesters of Nutritional Sciences, Biology, Nutritional Management, Food Sciences, Biotechnology and Food Chemistry work together.
Together we take part in university politics by sending members to committees, helping the General Students’ Committee (AStA) with different actions, bring in new ideas and vote on important decisions.
To the beginning of the winter term we offer a versatile and informative programme for the new students of the faculty of natural sciences. Therefore, our freshmen work group organises info booths, a tour over the campus, info material, a weekend together in a hut and we’re always open to answer questions about studying and university.

Once every term we organise a legendary N-TMS party! TMS actually stands for Thomas-Müntzer-Scheuer, an old barn used for events and learning, but it also stands for the student parties being celebrated there every Thursday. They are organised by a different student group every week.

Furthermore, we sell lab coats and protective goggles at student prices for the numerous practical courses awaiting you during your studies. You can buy the coats Tuesdays at 17:45 in our student council's room at the AStA during the term.
