Our work groups

What are work groups?

In our work groups, we divide up the work of the student council. This way, everyone can help out exactly where they want to. Our working groups are not only divided into the official student council work, such as freshmen work or elections, but also into other areas, such as the free time work group. They introduce themselves below.

If you are interested in one of the groups, then just come along to one of our meetings without any obligation - we look forward to seeing you!

We are the Freshmen work group, we plan and organise everything that has to do with first semester students. Whether you are studying for your Master's or Bachelor's degree, we make sure that you find your way around and get to know people so that you have a good start to your studies. Our organisational areas include:

  • Induction days with presentations and campus tours
  • Event planning and implementation, such as the pizza evening, the games evening, the pub crawl, etc.
  • Our legendary "freshmen-hut"
  • Creation and support of the WhatsApp groups

Of course, we are always available to answer your questions.

If you want to pass on your experience and knowledge to freshmen students, then you've come to the right place!

We, as a student council, have a right of co-determination in the university committees. That's why we take care of our student council's election advertising.

The aim is to introduce our candidates and give you an understanding of our positions.

If you have any questions about the elections, we will be happy to help you. During the election week, we will also have an election stand to help you with any questions you may have.

We will also create election posters and videos so that you have the opportunity to get to know our candidates better.

Are you wondering who always plans and organizes the great graduation parties in the summer?

That's the responsibility of the graduation ceremony work group. We organize the supporting program, take care of the prizes, invite your professors and also take care of the physical well-being of you and your guests.

Who actually keeps the homepage up to date? We do! We inform you about events, job offers, surveys and other things.

To keep you up to date with the latest university news, parties and other events, we keep you up to date on Instagram and the like. We entertain you with Meme Wednesday and funny clips from our events.

If you enjoy content creation, you've come to the right place!

The TMS work group is responsible for our parties. What sounds like fun at first is also a lot of responsibility and work. We come up with TMS themes and propose them at the meeting. We also take care of the entire organization of the party. This includes everything from creating the poster and ordering the pizza to setting up and taking down the party tents. We take care of the DJ, the bar license and much more. We always divide the tasks between us so that we can also toast to the classic team shot on the day of the party. We always need hard-working helpers and people in a good mood!

The Dies Academicus is our summer festival and goes on for two days. Student groups and university institutions set up their stands in the castle courtyard and celebrate together until late at night!

As the work group, we organise the stand of our student council.

In order to offer all Master's students on our Master's degree programmes an opportunity to get to know each other and meet up, the Master regulars' table work group regularly organizes cool events. Whether in the Denkbar with cocktails or with pizza and beer in the park, the focus is always on having fun.

The ILIAS work group takes care of the maintenance of our student council site. We try to keep the information and materials up to date. You can submit a membership request on ILIAS and the work group will add you to our ILIAS course.

We also like to do things as a group to strengthen our team spirit or simply to meet up in our free time. That's why we organise cool events, for example we look for dates to go ice skating together or plan team huts.

Internal pizza evenings, canoeing, camping - there are no limits to the ideas!
